What we do with your information
This site is an advertisement for a car wash. The only personal information it collects is what you type into the contact form, and the only thing we do with it is answer you.
Who this is about
Top Gear Car Wash, 5105 40 Ave, Innisfail, Alberta T4G 1Z1. This notice covers innisfailcarwash.com. It doesn't cover anything that happens at the wash itself — the payment terminals in the bays are run by our payment provider, and your card details never touch this website.
What we collect
If you fill in the contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number (if you give one) and message you type. Nothing else. There is no account to create, no newsletter, and no shop.
If you don't use the form, we collect nothing from you at all. This site has no analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking scripts, and no cookies of its own. It runs without JavaScript on purpose.
Why we collect it, and what we do with it
To read your message and reply to it. That's the whole purpose. We don't sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for marketing.
We won't add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question. If we ever start sending anything promotional, it will be because you asked for it, and every message will have a way to stop it.
How long we keep it
Your message arrives as an email in the office mailbox and stays there the way ordinary business correspondence does. If you'd like yours deleted, ask us and we'll delete it.
Who else handles it
We're a small business and we don't run our own mail servers, so a few suppliers touch your information on the way to us. Some of them are outside Canada, which means your information may be stored or processed under the laws of another country — including the United States, where courts and government agencies can compel a company to hand over data.
- Cloudflare — United States
- Hosts this website and passes your form submission along. Like any web host, it briefly logs technical information such as your IP address to keep the site up and block abuse.
- Resend — United States
- Turns your form submission into the email that reaches the office. It handles the name, email, phone and message you typed.
- Google — United States
- Supplies the typeface this page is set in, and the map on the home page. Loading either one tells Google your IP address and which page you were on, and the map may set Google's own cookies in your browser. We don't receive any of that and we can't see it. If you'd rather not load the map, the address and the directions link give you the same information without it.
- The office mailbox
- Once your message arrives it sits in the business's email account, read by the owner and staff who answer enquiries.
Cookies
We don't set any. The Google map embedded on the home page may set its own — that's Google's, not ours, and blocking third-party cookies in your browser will stop it without breaking anything on this site.
Your rights
Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act you can ask us:
- what personal information we have about you, and what we've done with it;
- to correct it if it's wrong;
- to delete it;
- anything you like about how we handle it, including how we use suppliers outside Canada.
